1. Who this is for
The CBA Community is open to people connected to fashion, creativity and business, as well as anyone who shares our values and wants to connect, help others and make a positive difference.
Membership is at CBA's discretion, and we may decline or remove access for anyone who does not align with the Community's values or breaches these guidelines.
2. How we use your information
When you join, we collect the details you share in the sign-up form, including your name, email address, Instagram handle, phone number, optional WhatsApp number, location, background, what you need help with, how you could help others and how you heard about CBA.
We use this information to:
- Process your registration and give you access to the Community and its channels, including the Instagram Community Chat.
- Contact you about your membership, Community activities and relevant opportunities.
- Understand who is in the Community so we can facilitate introductions, identify opportunities for collaboration and plan activities based on members' interests and needs.
- Respond to your questions, feedback, requests to correct your information or reports of inappropriate behaviour.
We use your Instagram handle to add you to our main Community Chat. Providing a WhatsApp number does not automatically enrol you in our optional WhatsApp group.
We will only send you promotional emails if you have separately agreed to receive them. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may use third-party services to manage registrations, store information and communicate with members, subject to appropriate data protection arrangements.
We keep your information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including any applicable legal obligations.
You can request access to your personal information, ask us to correct inaccurate details or request deletion by contacting us. Other rights under applicable data protection law may also apply.
For further information about how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information, please see our Privacy Policy.
3. Instagram, WhatsApp and other Community channels
Our main Community Chat operates on Instagram. We also offer an optional WhatsApp group for additional discussions and sharing resources.
These platforms have their own terms and privacy policies, which are outside CBA's control.
Please be mindful of what you share in Community chats. Messages, profile information and other details may be visible to fellow members, depending on the platform and its privacy settings.
Community conversations are not moderated in real time. If you notice inappropriate behaviour or content that breaches these guidelines, please report it to CBA.
4. How we expect members to behave
This Community works because people treat it with care. By joining, you agree to:
- Respect other members, their work, time and boundaries.
- Share ideas, knowledge, opportunities, useful resources and your own work.
- Be open to different perspectives, backgrounds and experiences.
- Contribute to the Community and support others when you can.
- Respect other members' decisions about whether and how they can help.
- Credit other people's ideas, work and contributions properly.
- Respect members' privacy and obtain permission before sharing their personal information or work.
The following behaviour is not accepted:
- Discrimination, harassment, bullying, threats or disrespectful behaviour.
- Shaming or discouraging members from asking for voluntary help.
- Pressuring members to provide help, services or resources after they have declined.
- Spam, repetitive advertising or unsolicited sales messages.
- Taking credit for someone else's work or sharing it without permission.
- Sharing members' private information or communications without their permission.
- Violating members' privacy or personal boundaries.
Members are welcome to ask for help, including voluntary support with projects or opportunities for which they may not have a budget. Offering help is always voluntary, and members are free to decide what they can contribute.
Members may share their work, projects, services and achievements when relevant to the Community. Promotional activity must remain respectful of other members and these guidelines.
CBA may remove content, restrict participation or remove members who breach these guidelines. We may take immediate action without prior notice when reasonably necessary to protect members or the Community.
5. Events and in-person activity
If you attend CBA events, pop-ups or activities, you are responsible for taking reasonable care of your own safety and belongings.
CBA is not responsible for loss, damage or injury arising from your attendance, except where caused by our negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
6. No guarantee of outcomes
CBA provides a space for connection, collaboration and opportunity, but we do not guarantee any specific business outcome, collaboration or result from your participation.
Any agreements, projects or working relationships you form with other members are between you and them. CBA is not a party to these arrangements unless expressly agreed otherwise and is not responsible for their outcomes, except where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these guidelines from time to time as the Community grows. If we make significant changes, we'll let members know through the Community's usual communication channels.
8. Leaving the Community
You can leave the Community at any time by leaving the Instagram Community Chat, leaving the optional WhatsApp group or contacting us directly.
Leaving a group chat does not automatically delete the information you provided when registering.
If you would like to end your membership and request deletion of your personal information, please contact us using the email address below. We will process your request in accordance with applicable data protection law.
You can unsubscribe from promotional emails separately at any time.
9. Contact
If you have questions about these terms, how your information is used, your membership, or wish to report inappropriate behaviour, contact us at communitybuildingagency@gmail.com.
We welcome feedback and encourage members to contact us with any concerns.
